Clockwork mice
This British drama examines the extraordinary relationship between an idealistic young teacher Steve (Ian Hart) at a school for emotionally disturbed children, and one of his most troubled pupils Conrad (Rhuaidhri Conroy). In one incredible year, Steve learns that he can make a positive contribution to people’s lives, but can he save Conrad from himself? An English teacher was assigned (paskirtas) to a „special needs“ school. He faced with a classroom full of angry, unruly (nepaklusnus) children, Steve hopes to bring about order and unity by sharing his love of cross-country running.
The teacher must wear down (palaužti) the resistance (pasipriešinimas) of the class’ most difficult kid Conrad (Ruaidhri Coroy). Disaster looms (šmėkščioti) on the horizon when the boy’s father dies, prompting (paskatinant) him to indulge (įsitraukti) in a series of dangerous running stunts (triukas) that threaten (grasinti) the wellbeing of all concerned (visi suinteresuotieji). The strange thing is that Conrad is so cute.
In the halls of Cedarwood, the curriculum is the same as we find in every other school; English, Math, History and … Children Destroy Teachers? So, the curriculum is a little changed to conform with the special student body of Cedarwood. Burnt out by the regular fight to teach these kids, the teachers of Cedarwood seem to be running away themselves.
